Zachary Cole Chapman, age 31, of New Lexington, Ohio died Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home in Bremen, Ohio.
He was born November 4, 1991 in Zanesville, Ohio to Melissa Thomas Tankersley and Matthew L. Chapman.
Zach was a 2010 graduate of New Lexington High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he proudly served from 2010-2014. Lance Corporal Zachary Cole Chapman was deployed to Afghanistan supporting mission Operation Enduring Freedom 12.2 from 2012-2013 where he was praised for his exemplary service. As a child Zach was an ornery boy who had no fear. He exuded a go big or go home attitude with absolutely everything he did. He was intelligent, feisty, outgoing, funny and had a smile that would light up every room. He was caring, loving and always gave the best hugs. When able he was there to help anyone and everyone. Zach loved the outdoors, riding quads, hunting and fishing but most of all he loved his son Cole. Zach also struggled in his head with a war he couldn't escape. Until our wounded bird was set free.
