Wilma Jean Frasure, 84, of Bremen, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Pickering House. She was born May 23, 1930 in Princess, Kentucky the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Virginia (Walker) Hilton. She was raised primarily by her grandparents, Everett and Eliza Walker and spoke fondly of them always. Wilma was a member of the Bremen Senior Citizens and the Bremen United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women’s ministry, altar guild and the loyal workers Sunday school class. She retired from Anchor Hocking, Plant 11 with 20 years of service. She enjoyed reading, word find books and mostly spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon B. Frasure, retired Air Force Master Sargent on December 1, 1970 and was so proud to be military wife. She was also preceded by 2 sisters, Anna Workman and Mildred Kerston; and a brother, James Stewart.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Brian) Irwin; 3 grandsons, Joshua, Zachary (Faith Kilbarger), and Jordan (Audrey) Irwin; 3 great-grandchildren, Lily, Carson and Brynlee; sister, Glenna (Rudy) Kogelman; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 AM at the Bremen United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Chrisman officiating. A time to visit with her family will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Wilma’s memory to the Bremen United Methodist Church, 205 North Walnut, Bremen, Ohio 43107.
