It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Suszanne E. Shook, who departed this life on October 28, 2025. Born on March 25, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Carl and Freda Bolen, Suszanne filled her years with love and dedication, particularly in her role as a home health caregiver. She touched the lives of many with her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to providing for those in need. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of New Beginning Apostolic Church and an avid lover of the Golden Girls.
She is survived by her beloved children, Brian (Heather) Shook, Carlene (Robert) Miracle and Brad (Amanda) Shook; grandchildren, Marissa (Brad) King, Michaela (Mason) Roby, Tiffany Shook, Elayna (Andrew) Frisby, Kaitlin (Mason) Shook, Caleb (Emily) Shook, Braden (Tara) Shook, Rachel Miracle, Hannah Shook, Noah Shook and Ashley Shook; great-grandchildren, Carver, Ember, Thomas, Juniper, Wrenley, Adeline, Audra, Andy and Brianna; brother, Carl Bolen; sisters, Penny (Terry) Starkey and Kimberly (Brent) Miller; sister-in-law, Jenny Bolen; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Shook; brothers, David and William Bolen; and sisters, Lowanna (Alan) Persinger, Nancy (Dave) Curnell and Pamela Sanders. . Her family and friends will forever cherish the warmth of her presence, her laughter, and her ability to bring comfort to those around her.
In honoring Suszanne's life and legacy, a public viewing will be held at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at the New Beginning Apostolic Church, 221 East Mulberry St, Baltimore, OH 43105 on November 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
As we reflect on her life, we remember Suszanne for her compassion, resilience, and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear.
