Ronald Ray Baker Sr. age 74 of Lancaster, passed away on April 10, 2023 at the Pickering House in Lancaster.
He was born to the late Curtis (Shorty) and Vivian (Stevens) Baker on January 21, 1949 in Pleasantville, Ohio. Ron worked as a mechanic much of his life before retiring from ATI Machine Shop. He loved riding in his rail buggy, fishing, and spending time with all his family.
He is survived by his son, Ron (Rachel) R. Baker Jr.; granddaughter, Pearl; sister, Garnet Hill of Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Kay Baker, of Baltimore, Cathy McKinley, Blacklick, Cheryl (Jeff) Lynn, Lancaster, Lori (William) Graf, Rushville; and many nieces and nephews in West Virginia.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved, long-time partner, Betty Snider; her daughters, Terri Hanna and Laura Dillon; grandchildren, Shane Hanna, Courtney Clayborn, Ashley Cline, Kaitlyn Ortman; and great-grandchildren Wyatt and Willow Cline.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chester; sisters, Sylvia and Etta Fay.
