Robert N. Middaugh, 79, of Crossenville, passed away, Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born January 7, 1934 in Bremen, Ohio the son of the late Russell and Ada (Wolfe) Middaugh. Bob graduated from Junction City High School in 1952 and joined the Navy and proudly served on the USS Intrepid. He retired from Anchor Hocking, Lancaster after 32 years of service. He was a member of Salem United Brethren In Christ Church , the Junction City American Legion, Post 376 and was a former member of the Junction City Lions Club. Bob’s favorite past-time was watching baseball, especially his Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann (Childers) Middaugh, whom he married December 29, 1956; three children, Bev (Dave) McCain of Hilliard, Brenda (Andy) Cable of New Lexington and Brian (Ruth) Middaugh of Junction City; sister, Linda (Jim) Paxton; 9 grandchildren, Andrea (Todd) Ellars, Anthony Cable, Briana (Adam) Merckle, Curtis, Tyler, Nicole and Jordan Middaugh, Scott (Patti) McCain, and Eric McCain; three great-grandchildren, Reese, Luke and Landon McCain; and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Merle, Floyd, Thelma, Raymond, Barb and Frank. A time to visit with the family will take place Sunday from 2 – 5 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Leighton officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Graveside services and military honors will follow at Salem Chapel Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Salem United Brethren Church, 2710 Township Road 185, Junction City, Ohio 43748.
