Robert William Hickman, 82, of Bremen, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at Heartland of Fairfield, Pleasantville. He was born December 6, 1928 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Thomas Denver and Nellie Hickman. He was a 1946 graduate of Rushcreek Memorial High School and a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 20, Bremen and attended Bremen Jerusalem Church. Robert retired from Reichold Chemicals and subsequently worked for and retired from Superior Fibers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna Kathryn (Tucker) Hickman, whom he married November 15, 1968; four sons, Stewart Friesner, Steve (Patricia )Friesner, Paul “Chip” (Marcia) Friesner and Vince (Paula) Friesner; two daughters, Judy (Bob) Bush and Jennifer (Patrick) Paskins; four sisters, Betty Paskins, Patricia (Darl) Moury, Carol Bainter and Mary Lou Beigley ;
19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mabel VanMeter.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 til 5 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
