Robert Neil Grimm

Robert (Bob) Neil Grimm, 92, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2018. He was born on February 6, 1926 to Lloyd Grimm Sr. and Edna (Lienard) Grimm and married Wanda (Howdyshell) on October 20, 1945. Robert was a 1944 graduate of Lancaster High School. He served with the Army’s Fighting 69th on the frontline during WWII. Robert’s lengthy career in Real Estate began in 1953. He founded Robert Grimm Realty in the late 50’s and was in business for over 40 years. He was active with the Lancaster Board of Realtors and was the 1988 Real Estate Broker of the Year. Robert is survived by his wife of 72 years, Wanda; his daughters, Kathleen (Kermit) Welty, Debra (Jonathan) Brown, Barbara (Steve) Tidd and Melanie (Dean) Gould; son-in-law, Steve (Lori) Sturm; 13 grandchildren, Jeff (Becky) Sturm, Amy Sturm, Kyle (Katie) Welty, Kelsey (Annie) Welty, Kevin Welty, Lindsay (Thad) Koresko, Nathan Brown, Andrew Tidd, Jo Hamilton, Robert, Neal, Reed and Aden Gould; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was a loving, wonderful father and grandfather and will be sorely missed. He is also survived by brothers, Lloyd (Fern) Grimm Jr and Howard (Elizabeth) Grimm Sr.; sister, Eleanor Ruff; siblings-in-law, Alvin (Mary) Howdyshell and Nellie (Bob) Morgan; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 1995 by his daughter, Marilyn (Sturm) and his brother, Leonard Grimm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to FairHoPe Hospice in Lancaster, Ohio. Memorial service for Robert will be Saturday, March 24th at 11am with visitation one hour prior at Morgan Funeral Home, Rev. Mel Truex officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
