Richard (Rick) Moyer, 65, of Bremen, passed away Friday, April 05, 2013. He was born February 10, 1948 in Bremen, Ohio the son of Wayne and Myrtle (Hufford) Moyer. He was a lifelong farmer and also served as a Rushcreek Township Trustee for 20 years. He later worked part-time for the U.S. Department of Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service and then as an employee of the Village of Bremen until his retirement. He was a member of Zeigler Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Pleasant Township. Rick graduated from Fairfield Union High School in 1966 and Clark County Technical Institute in 1968. He was a member of the Fairifield County Farm Bureau, Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club and the Buckeye Allis Club. He enjoyed participating in farm toy shows and antique tractor shows throughout Ohio and other states. Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah (Boyer) Moyer, whom he married April 5, 1975; son, Jeffrey Moyer of Lancaster; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne E. and Kay Moyer of Beavercreek; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Boyer of Pleasantville; brothers-in-law, Ken (Debbie) Boyer of Pleasantville and Paul (Linda) Boyer of Blacklick; step-sisters, Karen Holley of Illinois, Sue (David) Griffin of California and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy (Febus) Moyer and his father-in-law, Emerson Boyer. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, April 12 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Murdock officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Bremen.
