Phillip McCafferty

Phillip Thomas McCafferty, 71, of Rushville, Ohio died unexpectedly Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born March 27, 1954 in Lancaster, Ohio the son of Kermit Leroy and Gertrude (Thomas) McCafferty.

Phil was a 1972 graduate of Fairfield Union High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked for Loewendick & Sons. Phil loved his golf, Nascar, the Cleveland Browns and WWE.

Phil is survived by his wife of 15 years, Julie Ann Cannon; sons, Thomas (Sarah) McCafferty, Nolen "Roy" (Toni) McCafferty and Andrew (Tricia) Cannon; grandchildren, Alyssa, Samuel, Payten and Aubrie; brothers, Kirk (Lori) McCafferty, Dick (Brenda) McCafferty and Jeff (Lisa) McCafferty; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Robbie, Romeo, Jazzy and GiGi. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Butch Minnard, Frank and Kit McCafferty.

A time to visit with Phil's family will be Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2 - 5 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen.
