Norma "Rosey" (Ackerman) Curry passed peacefully on June 17, 2026. She passed away after a decades long battle with diabetes.

Norma was welcomed into the world on May 7, 1943 by her parents, Harold Norton and Freda Leona (Purvis) Ackerman. She attended Junction City schools through her Junior year before graduating from New Lexington High School in 1961. While Norma loved many things, she was passionate about purple, music especially Elvis, talking on the CB radio, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. But most of all she loved making lasting memories with her family.

Norma is survived by her brother, Dean Curtis Ackerman (Judy), sister, Marilyn Leona (Ackerman) Trimmer (Leo), and brother, Dale Lee Ackerman (Donna); son, Donald Edward June (Marybeth); daughters, Linda Kaye O'Rourke and Patricia Rose Ann June; step-children Walter Dennis Curry, Albert Lee Curry, Crystel Lynn Curry, Willard Dale Curry Jr. and Kimberly Mae (Curry) Campbell; grandchildren, Amber, Vanessa, Wesley, Caleb, Eric, Blade, Ethan, Liam, and Galen; step-grandchildren, Laura, Dustin, Amy and Levi; and great-grandchildren, Hudson and Paisley.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Norton and Freda Leona (Purvis) Ackerman; husband, Willard Dale Curry Sr.; stepson, Raymond Dale Curry; granddaughter, Valorie Grace Upperman; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Marjorie Upperman.

Norma will be greatly missed but always remembered by those who she made so many wonderful memories with.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Home in Bremen. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 20th at 11:00am at New Marshfield United Methodist Church, 8171 Hawk Road, New Marshfield, OH 45766 with a celebration of life beginning at 12:30 PM at the Waterloo Community Senior Center, 4005 Old State Rte 56, New Marshfield, OH 45766
