Mildred Cleo Winegardner Fahrer, 90 of Rushville, died peacefully Thursday, April 23, 2015 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 5, 1924 in Junction City, Ohio the daughter of the late Guy and Alverta F. (Henry) Winegardner.
Mildred was a 1942 graduate of Somerset High School and was retired from the US Postal service with 18 years service. She was a member of the Rushcreek Presbyterian Church, West Rushville. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, collecting bells and dolls, and western square dancing.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles Fahrer Jr., whom she married June 6, 1947; son, Randy (Sue) Fahrer; daughter, Sandy Beardmore; 3 grandchildren; Stephanie Osborn, Christine Ganyard, and Brett Beardmore; one great-grandson, Nick Osborn; sister, Bernita Ardrey; brother, Donald Winegardner; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Richard Beardmore.
A visitation with her family will be Monday from 5 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home with Chaplain Linda Ward and Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Interment will follow at West Rushville Cemetery.
