Michael “Mick” Lee Konkler, 66, of Lancaster, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 6, 2012. He was born May 6, 1946 in Lancaster the son of the late Leo James and Lottie Lucille (Ballinger) Konkler. He was a heavy equipment operator for Truco Construction retiring in 2008. He was a student of Shepherds Chapel. He was a member of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Community Watch Program and the National Rifle Association. Mick loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was active in various organizations associated with these activities. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynn (Spradlin) Konkler; daughter, Renae Michaelle (Albert) Scheiderer; step-daughter, Tracy (Tom) Williams; two sisters, Linda (Tom) McCandlish and Barbara (Lorenzo) Friesner; two grandchildren, Emily Lottie Scheiderer and Nathan Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Patrick; brother, Everitt Smith Jr. and sister, Pauline Weaver. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10th from 10 AM til 12 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen. Funeral services will take place at 12 PM in the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Mick’s memory to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
