Maynard Eugene Fisher, 93, of Rushville, died Monday, March 17, 2025 at his home. He was born May 31, 1931 in Rushville, Ohio the son of Stanley D. and Fern Elizabeth (Stoltz) Fisher. Maynard was a 1949 graduate of Rushville Union High School and was drafted into the US Army in 1951, serving during the Korean War. He worked for and retired from Knowlton Construction after 32 years where he served as Superintendent. He was a member of Avlon United Brethren Church.

Maynard is survived by his children, Randy (Connie) Fisher, Doug (Sue) Fisher, Denny (Marcia) Fisher, Rae Jean (Terry) Edwards and Marla (Jeff) Porter; 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Mandie, Jay, Ty and Jeremy Fisher, Neil and Terrah Edwards, and Hayden and Jared Porter; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Helser; brother, Lowell (Carolyn) Fisher; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Norma Jean Fisher.

Cremation has been arranged in care of Morgan Funeral Home. Public graveside services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Grandview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will follow from 2 - 4 PM at the Bremen Area Historical Society, 161 Carter Street, Bremen, Ohio 43107.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Maynard’s memory to Fairfield Center for Independence, Attn. Ramp Program, 681 East 6th Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 – Maynard enjoyed this program and was a volunteer helping to build ramps for those in need.
