Marilyn C Martin

Marilyn Carpenter "Grammy" Martin was born on September 5th, 1940 in West Liberty, Ohio. She had graced this earth for nearly 86 years when the Lord called her home on August 28th, 2026. She passed with her closest family members nearby.Marilyn was the youngest of five siblings and grew up on a farm with her family. She graduated from West Liberty High School and continued her schooling at Franklin University, where she obtained her Associate degree in bookkeeping and accounting. She retired as a dedicated Walmart associate after over 20 years in 2024. She remained active and energetic for the entirety of her life, even riding roller coasters well into her 70's.Marilyn was a devoted member of the Pickerington Baptist Temple. In January of 2024, she journeyed to Israel with members of her church family, and even though she was the oldest and smallest of the group, she outwalked them all. She loved the Lord and Jesus deeply, reading her Bible and journaling daily to ensure her faith remained the centerpiece of her heart.She was preceded in death by her mother, Zella; her father; her sisters, Margaret and Zella Ann; her brothers, Dennis and Harvey; her son, Daniel; and her grandson, Jacob.Marilyn will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her daughter, Tina (Ike) Johnston; her granddaughters, Jenni and Kellie Beach; her grandchildren Tiffany, Heather, and Patricia; great-grandchildren Miles Beach, Angel Beach, Vee Koontz, Mary Koontz, and DJ; many extended family members, and many "adopted" family members and friends.A celebration of life service will be held Monday, September 7th at Pickerington Baptist Temple, 521 N Center Street, Pickerington, OH 43147. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM.

Marilyn’s family request that any memorial contributions in her memory be made to Pickerington Baptist Temple and any flower orders be made through Flowers of the Good Earth in Lancaster.
