Mabel E. Coleman, 85, of Bremen, died peacefully at her home on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born in Wood County, West Virginia on April 1, 1932 the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Keller) Sims. Mabel was the former owner of Pappy’s Carry Out in Eagleport, Ohio and was retired from Ray-O-Vac in Lancaster. After retirement she ran a daycare out of her home. She was a past member and president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bremen.
She is survived by her children, James A. Coleman, Judy (Pete McCafferty) Wallace, Marilyn (Jess Varga) Crooks, Tamara Coleman, Tina Cox and Todd (Stacy Ericson) Coleman; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary, Charles (Clara) and Chester (Billie); and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Coleman; grandson, Chris Coleman; great-grandson, Allen Sims; son-in-law, Al Wallace; siblings, Carl, Tessie, Wilma and Ruth.
A time to visit with Mabel’s family will be Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM in the funeral home with Kermit Welty officiating. Graveside services will follow at Arlington Field of Honor, Canal Winchester at 1 PM.
