Lloyd "Butch" Minnard

Lloyd “Butch” Minnard, 79, of West Rushville, Ohio died Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the Pickering House. He was born April 6,1946 in Phoenix, Arizona. Butch was a 1964 graduate of Fairfield Union High School and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He worked at Anchor Hocking in the box shop retiring after 48 years of service.

Butch was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, Blue Jackets and the Buckeyes. He loved family beach vacations, cruising, fishing, train travel and gardening.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart of 59 years, Bonnie (Van Atta) Minnard, whom he married July 2, 1966; sons, Lloyd “Buddy” Jr. (Tricia) Minnard and Jason (Christie Ratliff) Minnard; grandchildren, Larissa (Chris) Sanker and Chandler (Abbi) Minnard; brothers, Kirk (Lori) McCafferty, Phil (Julie) McCafferty, Dick (Brenda) McCafferty and Jeff (Lisa) McCafferty; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Gertrude (Thomas) McCafferty; grandson, Alex Minnard; and brothers, Bob Minnard, Frank and Kit McCafferty.

A visitation will be Tuesday, July 8th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, July 9th at 11 AM in the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
