June Elizabeth Rienschield, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, at the age of 86 in the Pickering House.
Born on June 15, 1937 in Orient, Ohio, June was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, grace, and unwavering faith. She proudly served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1958 before earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. June's dedication to education led her to a fulfilling career as a 1st-grade teacher at Bremen Elementary School, where she left a lasting impact on countless young minds.
A devoted member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Colfax, Ohio, June found great joy in her involvement as a Sunday School Teacher and her contribution to Vacation Bible School activities. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she exemplified its teachings through her selflessness and compassion towards others.
June was the oldest of 10 children and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Lovingshimer; her foster parents, Marion "Pete" and Carol Edgecomb; and her husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Rienschield.
She is survived by her loving children, Kenneth L. (Katy), Rienschield, Kristina M. (Michael) Leach and Carol A. (Shawn) Boughner. June's presence will be missed by her five cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Robert) Householder, Rachel (Stephen Pate) Leach, Christopher Leach, Stevie Rienschield and Riley Boughner; as well as her great-grandchildren, Pheonyx, Braxton, Hazel, Finn and Kaiser whose lives were brightened by her warmth and love; foster sister, Joyce Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5575 Cincinnati-Zanesville Rd, Lancaster where friends and family will gather to celebrate June's life and bid her farewell. There will be 1 hour prior visitation at the church. Graveside services will follow at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen from 4 – 8 PM, offering an opportunity for the community to pay their respects. Contributions may be made in June’s memory to Fairhope Hospice.
