Judith Anne Childers, 79, of Junction City, went home on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1943 in Lancaster, Ohio the daughter of Donald John and Veleda Gertrude (Love) Griggs.
Judy was a lifelong member of Salem United Brethren Church. She loved teaching kids about the Bible and Jesus through Whirlybirds, Scioto Youth Camp and Sunday School. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was an avid reader, always with a book close at hand.
Survived by Paul David “Chip” (Tammy) Childers of Andersonville, TN, Robert Dean “Bob” (Melissa) Childers of Marietta, OH, Todd (Tina) Childers of Lancaster and Audra Dawn (Troy) King of Junction City; grandchildren, Tuesdae (Ethan) Archer, Josie (Levi) Benner, Wyatt Childers, Rachel Childers, Loren King, Levi Childers and Dorothy Jane King; great-grandchildren, Nelvelene and Azariah Archer; siblings, Jane (Carl) Morgan and Richard (Angie) Griggs; special aunt, Loretta Love; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Griggs at birth.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1st from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 PM at Salem Chapel, 3975 Marietta Rd. SW, Junction City with Pastor Joe Leighton officiating. Graveside services will follow at Salem Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to Gideon’s International (Bibles) or Laurel Mission, 77 Cedar Chapel Road, Big Laurel, KY 40808.
