John Martin Tucker, 90, of Lancaster, died Friday, December 21, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born November 15, 1928 in Rockbridge, Ohio the son of David Wesley and Minnie (Huls) Tucker.
He retired from Anchor Hocking Corporation, Plant 2 as chief painter. He had 38 years with the company. He was a member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #57 and was elected “Mr. 57” during his membership there. He was a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Army and was part of the 3rd Armored Division as a tank driver. He enjoyed going to Amish country with his wife and going to Coldwater, Michigan for fishing every year. He enjoyed motorcycle riding as a young man and loved to see them on the road as he got older. He loved American History and read every book he could get on the subject; he was always ready to talk about it.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 34 years, F. Louise (Taylor) Tucker; brother, David W. Tucker Jr.; sisters, Helen H. Tucker and Doris (Tucker) Seymour. He is survived by his son, John D. F. (June A.) Tucker; grandchildren; Wesley A. Tucker and Caitlynn E. (Devan) Dexter.
A visitation will take place Sunday, Dec. 23rd from 2 – 5 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort St., Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 5 PM in the funeral home. Online condolences at www.morganfuneralhomeohio.com
