John was an avid sports fan and loved his Ohio State Buckeyes, as well as Fairfield Union sports and band. He tried to make it to every home game for the Falcons for just about every sport. He was one of the Marching Falcons’ loudest fans during the Fairfield County Fair Battle of the Bands; getting there early to ensure a good seat. He could talk for hours about the Buckeyes and would give you stats and his opinion on who was going to win each game.
John grew-up and lived in Pleasantville for most of his life, if you ever drove past his house at Christmas, you would know where he lived. His house had more lights than anyone else around and was always beautiful. His wife would always say “if you stood still too long, he would put Christmas lights on you”. He loved Christmas and the joy it brought to people.
Above being an avid sports fan and loving Christmas, John loved his family the most. He supported each family member as much as he could, he would be their safety net when they needed it. He would capture the moon and stars for his kids if he could.
