James William Stephenson

James William Stephenson, 87, of Bremen, died Monday, October 12, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born December 24, 1938 in Bremen, Ohio the son of the late Clarence James and Opal Irene (Swick) Stephenson. He attended Rushcreek Memorial High School. He drove many miles over his 45 year career as a truck driver and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hideaway Hills. Jim loved his family dearly and enjoyed working on anything with a motor, yard and garden work and fishing.

Jim is survived by his wife, Linda Hill Stephenson; children, Mina (Ed) Nichols, David (Jackie) Stephenson, and Eric (Marilyn) Stephenson; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Stephenson, Evalyn O'Reed, Janet Stryczek and Noel (Judy) Stephenson; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Lu Stephenson on October 26, 2015; infant daughter, Joyce Ann in 1964; daughter, Cinda Friend and her husband, Steve; granddaughter, Elaine Stephenson Drake; 2 great-grandsons, Tucker Stephen Drake and Jenson Stephenson; and brother, Tom Stephenson.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 25th at 2 PM in Emanuel Lutheran Church, 29439 Hide-a-way Hills Road, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Anne Pairan officiating. Contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
