James Nathan Scruggs, 72, of Bremen, Ohio went to his heavenly home on Friday, August 10, 2018. His life was surrounded daily by the activities and love of his kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren. He was born on July 21, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late William and Catherine Scruggs.
James graduated from Ohio University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Farmington, Indiana VFW. He was retired from SafeCo Insurance Company. Jim loved the Reds, Ohio State and the casino. He enjoyed sitting on the porch feeding the birds and squirrels and having his dog, Miss Beasly, on his lap.
James was preceded in death by his parents; loving daughter, Lora; great-grandson, Jeremiah; and brother, Bill. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Scuggs; children, Catherine Midcap, Robert Sisson, and Jamie (Travis) Mace; daughter-in-law, Corinna Sisson; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters.
A time to visit with James’ family will be Tuesday from 9 – 11 AM in the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services take place at 11 AM in the funeral home.
