Geneva Stoltz Williams, 88, of Bremen, passed on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She was born December 31, 1922 in Bremen, Ohio the daughter of the late Henry “James” and Mary Elizabeth (Heinzman) Stoltz. She was a 1941 graduate of Rushcreek Memorial High School and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. She retired from Brooks Shoe Factory in Nelsonville. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Oscar McVay, Post 20 and the Rebekah Lodge 8 and 40. Geneva is survived by her son, Peter Williams; daughter, Beth Williams (Paul) Wreede; granddaughter, Kimberly Williams; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and sister, Janice Hummel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie J. Williams; and sister, Elaine Bell. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 22 at Grandview Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 12:30 PM til 1 PM at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Geneva’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 228 W. Hubert Ave., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
