Frederick Morrow Love, 90, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born June 7, 1928 on the family farm to the late Earl Ethan and Florence Luella (Morrow) Love. Fred was a 1946 graduate of Rushville Union High School and served in the US Army. He retired from Rockwell International after 30 years and had served as a Richland Township Trustee for 16 years. He was a member of the Rushville United Methodist Church and the Rushville Union Lions Club. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, farming, was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Betty Joan (Elick) Love; children, Frederick Joseph (Jill) Love, Diana (friend, John Didlott) Love and Donald (Beth) Love; grandchildren, Jodi (Bret) Mancini, Jeremy (Courtney) Love, Heath (Karli) Meyer, Brittany Love and Maribeth (Cody) Lee; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Kyliegh, Dominic, Hunter, Brody and Clara; several nieces and nephews; and also Bernice Towchik and Chris Hill, who were like family to Fred. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Francis and Marvin Love.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10 AM at the Rushville United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Wymer and Bill Thomas officiating. Graveside services will follow at Somerset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Rushville Union Lions Club. Online condolences at
