Emma Viola Howdyshell, 104, of Bremen, passed from this life Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Homestead Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 13, 1911 in Fairfield County, Ohio the daughter of the late Ivan Winfield and Dora (Householder) Howdyshell.
Emma was a member of Salem Chapel UB Church and had worked as a glass cutter for a time at Anchor Hocking in Bremen.
She is survived by a brother, Alvin (Mary) Howdyshell; sisters, Dorothy Morgan; Wanda (Bob) Grimm and Nellie (Bob) Morgan; and many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Frank and Carl Howdyshell; and sisters, Zelda Howdyshell, Rozella Sherlock and Beulah Hull.
A visitation will be held Monday from 12 – 2 PM at Salem Chapel, 3975 Marietta Road SW, Junction City, Ohio 43748. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the church with Rev. Joe Leighton officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Chapel Cemetery.
