Dorothy Estella Morgan, 100, entered heavens glory on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from Homestead Nursing Center, Lancaster. She was born November 9, 1916 in Bremen, Ohio, the daughter of Ivan Winfield and Dora Elizabeth (Householder) Howdyshell. She was a member of Salem Chapel United Brethren In Christ Church. She was devoted to God and her family and loved by many.
She is survived by her children, Wm. F. “Bill” (V. Jane) Morgan, Carl “C.D” (Jane E.) Morgan and Donna A. Yarbrough; 14 grandchildren, Shirley (Rob) Read, Keith (Mel) Morgan, Linda (Tim) Schmelzer, Dianna (Rod) Cox, Mark (Sherri) Morgan, Lisa (Steven) Brancato, Cheri (Court) Bowman, Doug (Missy) Morgan, Darren (Mel) Morgan, Craig (Regina) Morgan, Sandy (Tim) Walker, Greg (Wendy) Yarbrough, David (Lisa) Yarbrough and Becky Yarbrough; 50 great-grandchildren; 52 great-great grandchildren; 3 great-great-great grandchildren; brother, Alvin (Mary) Howdyshell; sisters, Wanda (Bob) Grimm and Nellie (Bob) Morgan; and many nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her Aunt Dot. She was preceded in death by her parents; her great love, Homer F. Morgan; siblings, Zelda Howdyshell, Frank (Onalee) Howdyshell, Beulah (Albert) Hull, Rosella (Austin) Sherlock, Emma Howdyshell and Carl (Opal) Howdyshell; several nieces and nephews; and great-great grandson, Carston Adams.

A time to visit with Dorothy’s family will be Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 10 AM at Salem Chapel, 3975 Marietta Road SW, Junction City, Ohio 43748 with Rev. Joe Leighton officiating.
