Dolores Maxine Merckle, 85, of Bremen, died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Pickering House. She was born January 11, 1925 in Lancaster, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Eda (Karcher) Strait. Maxine is survived by sons, Mark (Darlene) and David Merckle; grandchildren, Bert, Heather and Sara; great-grandson, Gabe; sister, Clara Starowski; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Delbert Eugene Merckle; and several brothers and sisters. Private services will be held by the family.
