Charlotte E. (Taylor) Beyer, 87, of Rushville, Ohio entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 21, 2025. She was born to the late William Robert and Ella (Palmer) Taylor of Rushville, Ohio.
Charlotte graduated from Rushville Union High School in 1955. After graduation she worked in the Container Division of Anchor Hocking General Offices and then worked for 50 years at Rushville Garage. In 1972 she became the Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of Rushville and retired in 2016 from that position.
As a member of Grace Lutheran Church (Colfax) she served in many capacities with the ELCW, SET team and served as Financial Secretary and Treasurer for many years. She was a member of Rushville Senior Citizens and the Rushville Union Lions Club. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Richland Township Fire Department, Fairfield County Clerk's Association, Rushville Alumni Association and the Fairfield Union Falcon Pride Committee. She was also a longtime poll worker for the Board of Elections.
Charlotte is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. "Rob" Beyer II and wife Dee of Gambier, Ohio and Randall (Beverly) Beyer of Rushville; granddaughter, Audrey (Jordan) Irwin of Bremen; 2 great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Theo Irwin; sisters-in-law, Lyndel Taylor and Mary Klein; nephews, Mark (Leah) Taylor and Scott (Kim) Taylor and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Beyer, who died in 2019; and brother, Carlos Taylor.
A time to visit with Charlotte's family will be Wednesday, June 25th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 5575 Cincinnati-Zanesville Road, Lancaster. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM in the church with Pastor Karen Kepner officiating. Graveside services will follow at West Rushville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Rushville Union Lions Club Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1, Rushville, OH 43150. Charlotte's family expresses their deep appreciation to Pataskala Oak Care Center staff for their loving care of Charlotte.
