Carolyn Darlene (Keller) George, 89, of Lancaster, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Pickering House. Born October 8, 1936 in Hebron, Ohio, she was a cherished daughter of Albert Chad and Mava Lois (Wilfong) Keller.

Carolyn was a devoted wife for 63 years to Virgil M. George, meeting each other at the roller skating rink at Buckeye Lake. They enjoyed traveling together and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes Football and Basketball teams. Together they created a loving home filled with laughter and warmth.

As a beloved mother and grandmother, Carolyn's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whether gathered around the card table or attending the cherished Keller Family Reunions. Her love for her family was palpable and she treasured every moment shared with them. An avid Bingo player and enthusiastic visitor to casino's, Carolyn also had a reputation for being a great cook.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Linda (Mark) DeBoe of Mesa, AZ, Debbie George of New Straitsville, OH and Mike George of Hanover, OH; 8 grandchildren, Julie, Greg, Nicole, Chris, Alicia, Shawnna, Sarah, Megan; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister, Julia Longshore; and numerous nieces and nephews along with a legacy of love that will resonate through their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil M. George; son, Jon George; 2 brothers, Norman and Leonard Keller; and 2 sisters, Gloria Hutton and Katherine West.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a graveside service to be held on Thursday, April 30th, 11 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Carolyn will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, where they will continue their eternal bond. Contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio


Carolyn Darlene George will be remembered for her unwavering love, her joyful spirit, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
