Beverly Ann Mayhugh, age 78, of Circleville, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully with her children by her side Thursday, February 8,2018. A life of kindness, a heart for family, and her beautiful blue eyes, are words to describe her. Beverly was born and raised in Belmont County, before moving to Central Ohio. She lived most of her later years in the Bremen, Ohio area, prior to taking up her final residence in the Circleville, Ohio, area. She was the eldest child of the late Arthur E and Winifred Monahan. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence W Mayhugh Sr., three siblings James Monahan, Twyla Kemp, and Phillip Monahan. She graduated from Bethesda High School where she met the love of her life and future husband. Beverly was a trailblazer leaving home and starting a new life in Columbus, Ohio after graduating high school. She started her career in the workforce at Columbia Gas, before spending most of her career in the legal field initially in the legal Department at Lazarus. She was a long-standing member of the United Methodist Church attending initially in Columbus, then Brice, and then finally for the last several years in Bremen, Ohio, where she spent most of her time as a volunteer visiting shut ins, to spread the gospel to those unable to attend church due to health reasons. She also enjoyed participating in the senior citizen group in Bremen, Ohio. When she wasn’t doing this Beverly enjoyed spending her time with her large family, and traveling when the opportunity presented itself. She is survived by one brother, Arthur D Monahan of Belmont County; four children, Tamara (David) Booth of Gahanna, Clarence W (Sue) Mayhugh of Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey A (Debra) Mayhugh of Bremen, Ohio, and Sean W (Regina) Mayhugh of Circleville Ohio; 6 grandchildren Lisa, Jessica, Jordan, Travis, Samantha, and Sylvia; 8 great-grandchildren, Erin, Kylie, Thomas, Bree, Madison, Aiden, Gage, and Mason; one great-great grandchild, Emalynn; and several nieces and nephews. A time to visit with Beverly’s family will be Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at the Bremen United Methodist Church with Pastor Linda Ward officiating.
