Benjamin James “Ben” Morrow, age 40 of Lancaster, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born June 2, 1982 in Lancaster, the son of Ted and Patti (Marcum) Morrow. He was a graduate of Berne Union High School, class of 2001, attended Hocking College and was currently employed by Arbor Barber. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-North Berne.
In college he studied horticulture, forestry and environmental ecology. He cared for the farm where he lived in Berne Township and the multiflora that grew there. He liked to hike the local parks and always carried a bag with him so he could pick up trash along the trails. He participated in the Hocking River clean-up Day. He also cared for the various animals on the farm; domestic and wild. He loved the outdoors and had a great respect for all of God’s creation.
He is survived by his mother, Patti Morrow; his sisters, Erin Morrow (Matt Spires) and Jennifer Morrow (Blake Ross); his nieces, Reese and Braelyn Morrow Spires; uncles, Mike and Jerry Marcum; and other aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Theodore “Ted” Morrow; grandparents, James and Mary Jane Morrow and James and Ina Marcum.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1965 Lutheran Church Road, Lancaster with Pastor Karen Martin Kepner officiating. Cremation will be conducted with a private interment in St. Paul Cemetery at a later date.
