Robert G. Morgan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert G. Morgan, 96, of Mount Vernon, OH, formerly of Lancaster, OH, passed peacefully into eternity on September 15, 2021. He was born May 5, 1925 to Marion and Ollie Morgan in Williamsport, Ohio. Bob was a 1943 graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1944 to 1947. On March 12, 1949, he married Nellie Howdyshell. He retired from Anchor Hocking Glass after 35 years of service. He was a member of Faith Memorial Church in Lancaster, OH and he volunteered in his church and several nursing homes for many years before and after retirement. Besides his wife of 72 years, he is survived by a son, Larry (Pamela) Morgan; a daughter, Connie (Leroy) Flowers, both of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Dr. Michelle (Randy) Banks of Worthington, Matthew (Jessica) Morgan of Fort Smith, AR, Adam (Cortney) Flowers of Pendleton, IN and Seth Flowers of Mount Vernon; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and his very large extended family and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brothers; and many other family members. Calling hours will be Monday, September 20, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort Street, Bremen, OH. A private graveside service will be held.
