Geraldine L. Burnworth, 98, of Bremen, went home to her Savior Jesus on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.
Geraldine is survived by her 3 children, Gloria Gornall, Terry (Shirley) Burnworth and Lois (Steve) McNeal; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Goss, Carolyn (Don) Ankrom and Donna Burnworth; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Burnworth; parents, Vivian and Hazel Embrey; father and mother-in-law, Rev. I.N.and Melza Burnworth; granddaughter, Denise L. Burnworth; son-in-law, James E. Gornall; brothers, Howard and Vernon Embrey; sisters, Dorothy, Emogene and Twila.
Geraldine was born in West Fultonham, Ohio on July 1, 1923. She was a 1942 graduate of Somerset High School and on August 30, 1942 married Donald E. Burnworth. She was a longtime member of Avlon UB Church. She had a great love for children. She was a Sunday School teacher, taught at Scioto Youth Camp and was involved in Child Evangelism for many years.

A time to visit with Geraldine’s family will be Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Wednesday at 10 AM at Avlon UB Church, 11010 Avalon Rd NE, Bremen, Ohio 43107 with Pastor Chuck Wheatley and Pastor Jason Sheets officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Geraldine’s memory to Avlon United Brethren In Christ Church.
