David Frederick Ruff Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

David Frederick Ruff, age 78, of Rushville, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 4:40 AM. David was born September 20, 1942 at home on the family farm in Rushville, Ohio the son of the late Lloyd Charles and Kathryn Evelyn (Boring) Ruff. David was a 1960 graduate of Rushville Union High School. A true, avid lifetime “Falcon Fan Alumni.” He was a lifetime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. David was also an active member of the Rushville Lions Club. David retired as a professional owner/operator truck driver. Survived by his four children, sons, Rodger (Lisa) Ruff of Wadsworth, OH, Curtis (Lisa) Ruff, Christopher Ruff, both of Rushville, OH and daughter, Beth Ann (David) Wallace of Lancaster, OH; 7 grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) Bernthold, Shelby (Sam M.) Ruff, Hayleigh (Jacob) Cox, Eric Ruff, Gabrielle (Rubin C.) Ruff, Gavin Ruff and Vivian Ruff; 9 great-grandchildren, Abram, Lylah, Liam, Lennox, Asher, Chandler Rae, Tatum, Lorelei and Caroline; 3 brothers, Dennis (Judy) Ruff, James (Teresa) Ruff and Gary Ruff; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean (Riley) Ruff; his parents; and sister, Shirley Ruff. A time to visit with David’s family will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4 – 7 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:00 in the funeral home with Rev. David Bugh officiating. Graveside services will follow at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Colfax, Lancaster, Ohio.
