Betty Jean Foltz

Betty Jean Foltz, 85, of Bremen, passed away at home, surrounded by her family and caregivers on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born April 8, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James and Nettie (Wastier) McAuley. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph R. Foltz; daughter, Debbie (Doug) Leith; sons, Bob (Andries Beirling) and David (Mary) Foltz; grandchildren, Adam (Adrianne) Leith, Aaron (Kelli) Leith, Robin Foltz, Jacob (Betsy) Foltz and Rachel (Jimmy) Shaner; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helene (Paul) Roberts. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Foltz. She was a member of the Bremen United Methodist Church where she participated in the choir and Altar Guild. She supported the Fairfield Union Band Boosters and was a Girl Scout Leader. Her family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers they were blessed with, Annie Kistler (Betty’s best friend), Debbie Carpenter, Marcy Wesselhoeft, Stacey Edgar and Cheryl Miller. Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will take place Saturday at 11 AM with one hour prior visitation at the Bremen United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Chrisman officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bremen United Methodist Church or FairHoPe Hospice.
