Barbara Lee Teeter

Barbara Lee Carney Teeter, 89, of New Lexington, Ohio entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Heartland Fairfield Care Center, Pleasantville. Barbara was born February 20, 1925 in New Lexington, Ohio to the late Lewis F. and Helen (Kinsel) Carney. Barb was a cadet in the Nurse Corp and a graduate of Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Zanesville. She worked as a registered nurse for 37 years at Fairfield Medical Center and completed her career at Heartland Fairfield Care Center. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bremen, the Bremen Eagles Auxiliary #3657, and Bremen Historical Society.
Barb was a very giving person and had a great love of gardening, playing euchre and spending time with family and friends.




Barb is survived by daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Lyle) Goodman; two sons, William Edward (Vicki) Teeter and Thomas Andrew Teeter; 7 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Bob) Shahan; brothers, Fr. T. A. Carney, MSC, and Wayne Arthur Carney. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earle Teeter; son, Jerry Teeter; grandson, Andrew; and daughter-in-law, Kay Teeter. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bremen with Father Thomas Kessler officiating. Interment will follow at New Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bremen Historical Society.
