Doris J. Courtright

Doris J. Courtright, age 65, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Pickering House. Doris was born in Richmond, KY on June 23, 1959, to the late James and Norma (Lynch) Ross. She was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School, class of 1977, where she played basketball and softball. She was retired from the Bremen Bank/Vinton County Bank with over 37 years of service. Doris was a member of the Lancaster Eagles Lodge; she enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and bicycling. She especially enjoyed traveling to Put In Bay with many of her friends for many years.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Mike Courtright, whom she married on May 2, 1982; sisters, Joan Bond, of Lancaster, Janet Bibler, of Georgia, and Elaine (Brian) Householder, of Lancaster; brother, Gary (Sherry) Ross, of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Jo Ross, of Bremen; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Chris (Bev) Courtright, of Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Susie (Rodney) Hambel, of Lancaster, Teresa (Jim) Henry, of Lancaster, and Tracey (Dean) Walker, of Lancaster. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roscoe and Randal Ross; sister-in-law, Stacey Buckalew; mother and father-in-law, Ted and Rita (Noll) Courtright.
A time for family and friends to gather and celebrate Doris's life will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Lancaster Eagles Lodge, 1936 East Main St., Lancaster. Cremation has been arranged in the care of Morgan Funeral Home.
